The University of Rochester Equestrian Team (known as URET) was founded for the purpose of providing students with a safe, educational, and fun way to enjoy horseback riding lessons in college without the pressure of it being a varsity sport.

The club rides English and lessons are generally flatwork and jumping based. We welcome new members of all levels and backgrounds who love horses and riding at the beginning of each semester. We look forward to having you ride with us! However, some horse/riding experience is preferred.

As of Fall 2023, our show team is back actively competing on the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) circuit in Zone 2 Region 1! Our coach is Lindsay Stauffer at Castle Creek Farms. Contact the club to find out more about joining the show team.
