The University of Rochester Equestrian Team (URET) provides students with a safe, educational, and fun way to continue—or get back into—horseback riding during college without the commitment of a varsity sport.

URET rides English, with lessons primarily focused on flatwork and jumping. We welcome riders from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels at the beginning of each semester. While some previous horse or riding experience is preferred, we encourage anyone interested in riding with URET to reach out and learn more!

Our Show Team actively competes through the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA) in Zone 2, Region 1. Riders have the opportunity to represent the University of Rochester at IHSA competitions throughout the season.
